Daniel A. Wail

Partner/Audit/CPA

​Dan is a Senior Partner in the Audit and Review Services business unit of the Firm.  He is responsible for planning, supervising, and reviewing many of the Firms accounting, auditing, due diligence and quality of earnings engagements for both public and privately held companies.  Dan is also a part of the Quality Review team.  Dan joined the Firm at inception in 1989, bringing with him a deep knowledge and experience in many areas, including assisting our clients in filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the performance of reviews and audits of interim and year-end financial statements, and providing a number of other financial services.  Dan’s public accounting experience includes clients in retail, wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, food and wine processing, construction, mining and oil and gas and professional services.  He also brings vast experience to matters related to merger and acquisition services, including due diligence and the review of complex financial models, as well as assisting our clients in obtaining necessary financing as well as equity placements. His merger and acquisition background complements his additional expertise and experience in assisting our Firm’s clients in acquiring companies that have filed under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. 

 

Dan has also represented debtors in meetings with creditor committees and strategy sessions and has aided his clients in all financial reporting matters. He has directed a number of clients in cash management and daily accounting functions, including managing accounting departments for clients in turnaround engagements.

 

Dan obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy from Illinois State University and is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
